cycle of audio dramas about young women from ukraine
about
irina serebryakova, a ukrainian playwright who left her country after the war began, proposed to create a series of audio dramas based on three of her plays. the first two were written by her personally, and the third was co-authored with kyïv-based artist masha denisova. we connected irina with the team from the independent theater fulcro, who undertook the task of producing the audio dramas. they are available online for free at any time.
"through the lens of three stories based on documentary materials, the transformation in the lives of civilians with the onset of war becomes apparent. these narratives explore the harsh realities of being unable to live in ukraine and the impossibility to leave. each play delves into these challenges through different topics: work, love, and daily life."
